The University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) has retained MHPM to provide project management and sustainability services for the construction of a new Student Centre (Centre) on its Abbotsford Campus.
The Centre will provide space for the students to meet, relax and socialize in addition to providing many other necessary student services and amenities. Its objective is to promote and enrich the student experience by providing a venue for artistic, literary, educational, intellectual, social and charitable activities to the benefit of the students and others.
The Centre design is planned to complement adjacent buildings on the Abbotsford Campus, and will be integrated with campus vehicle and pedestrian networks. It will both reflect the natural beauty of the site location and incorporate contemporary and sustainable elements. The facility will be LEED Gold certified.
The project is in schematic design with construction start up scheduled for September 2010.
